e-Learning

"Sifter" (L.O. Sifter and Organizer, CRDA with Mosaic Technologies)

The aim of this project is to reduce production time of quality e-Learning material in order to reduce time and price to market. The first phase of the project aims at doing this by creating searching mechanisms for quality learning resources.

The project started in September 2002 and is expected to end in: November 2003.

We expect to provide learning object repository expertise, consulting on project architecture, liaison with similar projects.

Our research results could have an impact on e-Learning content authoring.

Research opportunities related to this project: We are looking for research collaborations in learning object evaluation metrics and metadata, learning object database management, dynamic authoring of learning objects.

Technical transfer opportunities related to this project: mechanisms for authoring learning objects.

Possible applications include: learning object repositories, e-Learning authoring tools, e-Learning applications
