Demotride

Demotride is a standalone virtual reality software program that allows the manipulation of 3D objects and scenes on the computer screen.  It works with content files based on the Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML97) international standard.  Demotride also enables interaction with multimedia content, including text, images, sounds, and animations.

Demotride's technology is used for research in human-computer interaction (HCI) for the Advanced User Interfaces Design and Evaluation Project . As part of a test-bed for this HCI-focused project, it will assist in enabling the rapid prototyping of new 3D user interfaces.

Although Demotride’s technology is generic and can be adapted to many uses, it could be particularly useful for scientific visualization, virtual tours and presentations, and simulation training in 3D environments.

Since Demotride is an experimental software, future releases will aim to further improve its functionalities, accessibility and interaction performance.

This technology is available without cost as a non-commercial downloadMake sure to download the Demotride technology and try it for yourself!

Demotride is made available to encourage research and development in the field of 3D interaction, and can be accessed via the Demotride Web site.
