The Branch is the central authority in Saskatchewan responsible
for delivering family justice services to individuals who need
help in dealing with the difficulties arising from family
breakdown, separation and divorce. These services are in the area
of parenting, custody, access and support obligations.
The Branch is also responsible for administering the Marriage
Unit and all services related to the formal aspects of marriages
in Saskatchewan.

Inter-jurisdictional Support Orders Unit
extra-provincial registration of support orders and
agreements
establishment and variation of support orders where one
party lives outside Saskatchewan
Maintenance Enforcement
Office
- monitoring and enforcement of support orders and agreements
in Saskatchewan
- reciprocal enforcement of support orders and agreements with
other jurisdictions
Marriage Unit
- rules and procedures for getting married in Saskatchewan
Parent Education Unit
- voluntary and court-ordered information sessions on the
stages of separation and divorce, the impact on children and
options for parenting in a way that keep
children out of parental conflict.
Social Work Unit
- preparation of court-ordered custody and access assessments
- court-ordered supervised access and supervised exchange
program
- information and assistance relating to options for resolving
family law disputes
Family Law Information Centre and Support
Variation
- a pilot project that provides help and resources to individuals wanting
changes to their support orders
- an information and resource center in the area of family law
- Child Support Guidelines Information
