Designating the Advisory Council on the Status of Women as a Portion of the Public Service and Authorizing the President to Exercise and Perform all the Powers and Functions of the Treasury Board in Relation to Personnel Management of the Council

His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Honourable Judy Erola, is pleased hereby

(a) pursuant to the definition "public service" in subsection 7(9) of the Financial Administration Act, to designate the Advisory Council on the Status of Women as a portion of the public service of Canada for the purposes of section 7 of that Act;

(b) pursuant to subsection 7(3) of the Financial Administration Act, to authorize the President of the Advisory Council on the Status of Women to exercise and perform, in such manner and subject to such terms and conditions as the Governor in Council directs, all of the powers and functions of the Treasury Board in relation to personnel management of the Advisory Council on the Status of Women.
