Community Futures Development Corporations in Saskatchewan

Community Futures Development Corporations (CFDCs) are grassroots, non-profit business organizations that deliver small business services and community economic development. They provide a range of business programs and services, tailored for local economic conditions. Funded by Western Economic Diversification Canada (WD), CFDCs build stronger and diversified economies in small and rural communities.

The 90 Community Futures Development Corporations, located outside major cities, are part of WD's Western Canada Business Service Network. There are 13 CFDC offices in Saskatchewan.

Services

  • Assistance with business plans
  • Financial planning and counselling
  • Export readiness and supplier development
  • Access to business information and resource libraries
  • Business loans, up to a maximum of $125,000
  • Entrepreneurs with Disabilities Program, with loans up to $125,000 and mentoring for entrepreneurs with disabilities
  • Self Employment Program, with training designed to reduce the financial concerns of new entrepreneurs
