Francophone Economic Development Organizations

PDF Version (161K) PDF

In April 2001, Western Economic Diversification Canada (WD) added Francophone Economic Development Organizations (FEDOs) to its Western Canada Business Service Network. These organizations provide francophone entrepreneurs with the expertise they need to start or grow their businesses.

FEDOs play an important role in the Government of Canada's commitment to ensure that business services and advice are available, in either official language, to all Saskatchewan residents.

In Saskatchewan, WD contributed $1.5 million to enable the Conseil de la Coopération de la Saskatchewan (CCS) provide economic development services to Fransaskois entrepreneurs.

The CCS has a main office in Regina and branch offices in Saskatoon, Prince Albert and Ponteix. It serves francophone businesses as far away as La Ronge in northern Saskatchewan.
