PDF Version (105K) PDF

The Canada Business Service Network is managed through federal-provincial agreements to provide a single, seamless gateway to information for businesses.   In Western Canada, these centres are part of Western Economic Diversification Canada’s (WD) Business Service Network, with offices in Vancouver, Edmonton, Saskatoon and Winnipeg.

In Alberta, the Business Link Business Service Centre is a partnership between the Government of Canada and the Province of Alberta.  The Business Link reduces the complexity of dealing with various levels of government by serving as a central resource for business information.

In addition to providing access to accurate, timely and relevant information and referrals, the Business Link works with clients to provide:

  • Information specialists who assist with business planning and who deliver specific funding programs on-site
  • Seminars on business and trade development topics, such as business planning, exporting, financial management, business start-up, e-business and intellectual properties
  • Advisory service for clients with start-up businesses
  • An extensive business and trade reference library
  • Client workstations connected to the Internet and online databases
  • Aboriginal Business Service Network, dedicated to helping new and established Aboriginal entrepreneurs
  • An E-Future Centre, committed to helping clients understand e-business and its role in their organization
