These commercial and open-source Intrusion Detection (ID) systems can be used to develop, test, explore and integrate ID solutions. They are particularly cost-effective when combined with DRDC Ottawa’s expertise and experience in: deployment of ID systems; testing of emerging technologies and ID methodologies; ID systems integration investigation; and network attack analysis.  Biometrics Research Laboratory

This laboratory provides a research test bed for multimodal biometric fusion techniques, with a focus on fingerprint identification, and facial and voice recognition.

Secure Mobile Networking Laboratory

This laboratory can be used for experiments that support research and analysis on wireless protocols and technologies that are available commercially and "off the shelf". Defence R&D Canada's scientists research and develop interoperable, secure solutions to ensure the integrity and availability of wireless networks and systems in strategic, operational and tactical environments.

Our Public Key Infrastructure / Privilege Management Infrastructure laboratory provides a state-of-the-art environment for the investigation, demonstration and development of emerging technologies and techniques for authentication, access control, and identity, policy and trust management.
