Doing Business with Us

DRDC Toronto does more than its traditional role of supporting the Canadian Forces – we are open for business. Whether you are interested in leasing our unique, world-class facilities, entering into a partnership or collaborative agreement, product testing and evaluation, accessing the expertise of our researchers, or technology transfer and licensing, we can help you with the expertise necessary to advance your technology.

Over 50 companies, universities, other government departments, and international allies have already taken advantage of DRDC Toronto's expertise in human protection and performance in extreme environments, human-systems integration, command effectiveness and behaviour, simulation and modelling and military operational medicine. Our research has found its way into a wide range of technologies which have been licensed to the private sector – see our Success Stories for a partial listing of these. We also have a number of technology offerings currently available for licensing.

DRDC Toronto's technological developments and capabilities go beyond those developed for the military and defence industry. Every model of child and infant car carrier sold in Canada is tested at our impact facility, while clothing manufacturers and emergency response personnel have benefited from research conducted in our climatic facilities.

We would like to work with you in your technology needs - in research, field applications and operations. In addition to partnering, consulting services, technology transfer, and fee-for-service, there are a number of funding options available to help you work with DRDC Toronto. Contact our Business Development office for more information.
