Canada Business Service Network in Manitoba

The Canada Business Service Network is managed through federal-provincial agreements that provide a single, seamless gateway to information for businesses. In Western Canada, these centres are part of Western Economic Diversification Canada’s (WD) Business Service Network, with offices in Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Saskatoon and Winnipeg.

In Manitoba, the Canada/Manitoba Business Service Centre is a partnership between the Government of Canada and the Province of Manitoba.  Services are delivered to 38 federal departments and organizations, 13 provincial departments and five private sector partners.  Services include:

  • A call-in service, which provides information on government programs, services and regulations
  • Business start-up service for entrepreneurs
  • An extensive business and trade reference library
  • Client workstations connected to the Internet and online databases
  • A website offering information products and links
  • Assistance with business planning and funding programs
  • Seminars on business planning, exporting, financial management, business start-up, e-business and intellectual properties
  • 34 regional access sites for entrepreneurs
  • An Aboriginal Business Service Network, dedicated to helping new and existing Aboriginal entrepreneurs
  • An E-Future Centre, committed to helping clients understand e-business and its role in their organization
