Star Count
The Star Count project is designed as part of an international scientific study to investigate the visual quality of the nighttime sky and to help assess the national and global extent of atmospheric light pollution. It will also help to evaluate the amount of energy wasted through poor or inappropriate lighting practices.
Teachers, students, youth organizations amateur astronomers, science and environmental organizations, and dedicated interested individuals, are all invited to participate.

Educators' Space Conference
August 8 to 10, 2006
The CSA is proud to announce the annual Educator Training Event. It will be held August 8 to 10, 2006 at the John H. Chapman Space Centre in Longueuil, Quebec. During each day of this three-day conference, educator participants and CSA engineers and scientists will explore space-related, curriculum-relevant topics at the primary and secondary levels.

Canada's Student Participation Program at the International Astronautical Congress
The 2006 congress of the IAF will be held October 2 to 7 in Valencia, Spain. There will be several opportunities for an entire new group of students to learn about the future of space at the IAF Congress. Again for this year's student program, students who have already participated in the previous IAF congresses are invited.
