Group Activity: Words that are out of the world!

You and your students are going to put together a Space Dictionary. Form two teams. Give Team 1 a dictionary and ask them to find some words related to space, then copy the words onto one piece of paper and the definitions onto another. Team 1 reads the words they’ve chosen out loud. Team 2, which has the paper with the definitions, earns 1 point for each right answer. If they get it wrong, the other team scores the point. Then switch the teams around. At the end of the game, ask the students to enter the words from their Space Dictionary in the class Space Log.
