Northeast British Columbia's
Ultimate Potential for
Conventional Natural Gas

31 March 2006

To: All interested Parties

The National Energy Board (Board) and British Columbia Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources released, on 31 March 2006, an Energy Market Assessment entitled Northeast British Columbia's Ultimate Potential for Conventional Natural Gas which provides the current estimates of discovered and undiscovered gas resources for the British Columbia portion of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin. These estimates may be updated in the future as the Board and Ministry review developments in the area. In addition, the report discusses qualitatively the potential for additional conventional gas resources in other offshore and onshore basins in the province and unconventional gas resources in all basins in the province.
