JOINT INITIATIVE ON VANCOUVER ISLAND SEIZE 16,500 MARIJUANA PLANTS

Project SABOT, a marijuana eradication program on Vancouver Island, saw the RCMP, Saanich Police Department, and the Victoria Police Department join forces to battle outdoor marijuana grow operations on Vancouver Island. The Department of National Defense (DND) is also an important partner in this annual aerial program, flying team members into areas of the Island that are hard to reach by conventional transportation means. .. CANADA'S NEW GOVERNMENT INVESTS $3.8 MILLION IN CONSTRUCTION OF FIRST NATIONS BUILDING AT UNIVERSITY OF QUEBEC IN ABITIBI-TÉMISCAMINGUE

The Honourable Jean-Pierre Blackburn, Minister of Labour and Minister of Canada Economic Development, has announced an exceptional financial contribution of $3.8 million to the University of Quebec in Abitibi-Témiscamingue (UQAT) for its First Nations Building project.
