Canadians are in a position to benefit from our abundant oil and natural gas reserves as a result of growing North American demand.

CEPA's members operate Canada's transmission pipelines and will double their collective assets in the next 15 years to bring new supplies to the market.

But if CEPA's members are to play their role in growing Canada's economy, certain issues will have to be addressed.

MACKENZIE PIPELINE HEARING DELAY COSTLY 

CEPA is urging the Joint Review Panel to reconsider its decision to extend their hearing schedule on the Mackenzie Valley pipeline project citing a CEPA study from October 2005.  CEPA notes the delay costs to Canadian natural gas consumers could be significant.
