Download the Adobe Acrobat Reader

The National Energy Board uses Adobe Acrobat ® *.PDF files for many of it's online documents. Whenever a file of this type is available for viewing, "PDF" will be included at the end of the document's title along with the file size in kilobytes (KB). Refer to the insructions below for further details.

PDF files can be viewed with the Adobe Acrobat Reader™ "plug-in".

Accessibility Tools for Adobe Acrobat Documents

Adobe Systems Incorporated currently provides two solutions that help make information in Adobe PDF files accessible to the visually disabled. These solutions convert Adobe PDF files into a format that can be read by screen readers. Screen reader programs allow the visually disabled to interact with their computer by interpreting what is happening on the display and outputting that information to speech synthesis or refreshable Braille output devices.

Print an Adobe Acrobat document

• Open a required document in the Reader by clicking on the link.
• Select File-Print from the menu bar in the Adobe Acrobat Reader.
• Low-end printers cannot handle large Adobe Acrobat documents. Send the document to the printer in sections to avoid printer memory overload.

Save an Adobe Acrobat document

• On your computer, make a directory into which the document will be saved (e.g. c:\download).
• Locate a document you wish to download.
• ight click on the link to the required document and select Save Target As (Internet Explorer) / Save Link As (Netscape) from the drop-down menu.
• When prompted, specify a drive and directory into which the document should be saved (e.g. c:\download).
• Click on Save / OK to save the document.
