Defines and establishes SAR procedures for the territory that will result in access to SAR services in every community under the local Emergency Response Plan. Works with the RCMP to develop territorial SAR training programs. Has an MOU with the Yellowknife Amateur Radio Society to receive communications support when required. Receives support from the seven regional or area offices that act as part of the Northwest Territories EMO. Three staff members.
