SAR News

While escorting the HMCS Haida in late August this past year, the Hamilton Beach Rescue, District 2, unit 161, was called to action when a distress call came over the radio. A boat was on fire in the Hamilton Harbour. The Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary and Hamilton Police Marine Unit also responded to the call. No one was injured but damage to the vessel was extensive.
