Works in partnership with other agencies when required. Has specialized teams including an Accident Reconstruction Team, an Emergency Response Team, a Marine Unit, an Underwater Recovery Team, and a Motorcycle Patrol Unit. Members receive training in map reading and compass use from Search and Rescue Services Inc., and Search Coordinator Training from York Sunbury Search and Rescue. Members are trained in first aid and CPR; some members have advanced certification as rescue divers. Resources include a trailer, four dogs and dog handlers, a bomb disposal truck, and a mobile community vehicle. Founded 1851. Ninety-five officers and thirty-five civilian members.
