Services include rappelling, traffic and crowd control, boat safety and boat inspections, and land and marine SAR. Members are experienced in forest and night searches, first aid, firearms safety, and wilderness survival. All members take a 50-hour training in map reading, compass use, land and water SAR techniques, night searches, wilderness survival, helicopter safety, radio procedures, and first aid. Resources include a mobile command centre, rescue boat, radio equipment, generator, auxiliary lighting, GPS units, first aid equipment and trauma kits, two snowmobile sleds, a snowmobile trailer, rescue toboggan, a 4-wheel-drive vehicle, pickup, hovercraft, traffic and safety equipment, classroom, kitchen and washroom facilities, and vehicle and equipment storage. Founded l983. Thirty volunteer members.
