Services include forest and urban search and rescue, and boat safety awareness. Members are trained in first aid, CPR, map and compass reading, GPS, and outdoor survival. Tasked by the RCMP. Attends Outdoor Search and Rescue seminar put on by RCMP. Resources include 8 VHF radios, a simplex repeater, survival suits, topographical maps, rappel gear, a base station (14-foot trailer), a 5000 watt generator, three GPS Units, two trauma packs, 4000 watt lighting system, and a building in which to hold meetings. Founded 1982. Twenty-eight volunteer members.
