Assists federal SAR forces in the province. Promotes aviation safety. Operates in five zones in Newfoundland and Labrador. Each zone has its own support staff and infrastructure. Members participate in training sessions, workshops coordinated by the National Association in aviation safety, spotting techniques, map reading, and other SAR techniques. Tasked by RCC Halifax. Founded 1986. One hundred and twenty-five volunteer members.
