Involved in training, consulting, planning and organization of forest and city searches, rescue services, and first aid. Members receive specialized training in rescue, map reading, compass use, basic and advanced first aid, CPR, auxiliary police and emergency response techniques, handling of hazardous waste, and telecommunications. Has a service-sharing agreement with Sauvetage Rescue Canada and the regional county municipality of Ste-Thérèse-de-Blainville. Also lends its support to ambulance services for screening and care of the wounded. Member of Sauvetage Rescue Canada. Founded 1986. Forty volunteer members.
