Under the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General, coordinates volunteer land and inland water SAR resources within the province. All volunteer SAR groups in the province must be registered with B.C. PEP, which provides support and training for all groups. Offers a variety of courses for provincial SAR groups. Also provides support to PEP Air (CASARA) and Amateur Radio volunteers. Has an Emergency Coordination Center that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Record last modified: 2003-12-09
