The Institute for Citizen-Centred Service (ICCS) serves as the custodian for the Common
Measurements Tool. This site contains examples of good practices for various
aspects of service improvement and service quality. It also maintains an
anonymous Benchmarking Database that will help departments and agencies compare
their results against peer organizations and identify good practices.
The Canada School of Public Service site contains reading
lists, research summaries and publications on public management innovation and
international public sector governance and reform.
The Canadian Council for Public-Private Partnerships (CCPPP) site
includes publications, surveys and case studies on public-private partnerships.
The Innovation Journal includes articles and case studies on public
management innovation, as well as good links to other innovation websites.
The Institute of Public Administration of Canada site contains research
papers and publications on public management issues as well as winning
submissions from the annual IPAC Innovation Awards.
The Ottawa-based Institute on Governance site contains extensive information
on projects in areas of public sector reform, such as citizen engagement,
service quality, performance measurement, and accountability.
The Leadership Network reports to the Secretary of Treasury Board as part of
Government's commitment to promote, develop and support networks of leaders
throughout the public service and to assist them in ongoing public service
renewal. The site contains Department and Agency reports and initiatives, links
to communities of practice provides service delivery tools of the trade and
offers other
helpful information.
The National Quality Institute provides strategic focus and direction for
Canadian organizations to achieve excellence, enabling Canada to set the
standard for quality and healthy workplace practices throughout the world. The
site contains information and tools for management, training, networking and
promotion, as well as best practices.
This is a password- protected site for members of the Public Sector Service
Delivery Council (PSSDC). It serves as a central repository for PSSDC documents
and an online space for collaborative work.
International Websites on Service and Innovation
PUMA is the Public Management Service of the OECD in Paris. This Website is
probably the single best entry point into the world of public management reform
and innovation. It has excellent research publications of its own, relating to
innovation in OECD countries, and useful links to Websites of member
countries.
The website of the UK Cabinet Office, Office for Public Service
Delivery and Reform, includes information on performance measurement and
service standards. This is considered one of the best sites on service and
innovation.
