The Canadian Transportation Fuel Cell Alliance is a $33 million federal government initiative that will demonstrate and evaluate fuelling options for fuel cell vehicles in Canada. Different combinations of fuels and fuelling systems will be demonstrated by 2008 - for light, medium and heavy duty vehicles. The initiative will also develop standards and training and testing procedures as related to fuel cell and hydrogen technologies.
Funding for the initiative comes from Action Plan 2000, a package of activities to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in Canada - it is a $500 million commitment on the part of the federal government. These measures are expected to take Canada one third of the way to achieving the GHG reduction target established in the Kyoto Protocol, which is to reduce GHG emissions by 2012 to 1990 levels.

NCTI a non profit joint venture of India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) and National Informatics Centre (NIC) is a Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India recognised Trade Point-India under the Trade Efficiency Programme of United Nations Conference on Trade & Development (UNCTAD). En este trabajo se presenta un desglose de los aspectos más importantes que determinan el consumo de energía en los sectores residencial y comercial en América Latina, se analizan estos aspectos en relación a su importancia en la región, se presenta información disponible sobre el uso que estos sectores hacen de la energía, se enumeran posibles acciones de ahorro, se plantean necesidades de información y se hacen recomendaciones respecto a las formas de disponer de esta información. / This work provides a summary of the energy consumption in the residential and commercial sectors in Latin America.

En concordancia con la misión del FIDE, se han implementado diversos proyectos para demostrar a los diferentes usuarios de Comisión Federal de Electricidad y Luz y Fuerza del Centro, la factibilidad técnica y la rentabilidad económica de las acciones propuestas para ahorrar y usar eficientemente la energía eléctrica. El FIDE realiza estas actividades siguiendo los lineamientos que el Comité Técnico del Fideicomiso le señala e informa periódicamente sobre los resultados obtenidos.
