Extension of Terminable Allowances

SUBJECT:  Extension of Terminable Allowances

This is to inform you that Treasury Board and the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada have signed memoranda of understanding to extend the terminable allowance provisions for the Health Services (SH) collective agreement.  Appendixes C, D, E, F, J, K, L and M have been extended from October 1, 2004 to March 31, 2005.

Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) is modifying the pay system to accommodate these changes.

Please find attached a copy of the memoranda of the SH collective agreement for your immediate implementation.

Departmental Compensation and Staff Relations managers should direct any questions that they may have to their appropriate corporate officials, who, if need be can contact the Pay Administration Section.
