Rates of Pay for Students
The Secretary of the Treasury Board has recently approved new rates of pay for all salaried Student Employment Programs,
effective January 1, 2001. The new rates reflect a 2.5% increase on the 2000 rates of pay.
Attached is a summary of the changes that will take effect on January 1, 2001. They should be communicated immediately to
all managers planning to hire students in 2001.
