November 19, 2001

PSAC Dues Decrease

A resolution was passed during the Triennial Convention of the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) held in May 2000, authorizing a monthly dues decrease effective January 1st, 2002. This decrease will affect all employees subject to collective agreements entered into between the Treasury Board of Canada and PSAC.

The PSAC deductions for all affected employees will decrease from 0.927% of the first step of the salary scale, plus 35˘, to 0.8837% of the first step in the salary scale, plus 35˘.

PSAC will make these adjustments automatically through their monthly input to the pay system. No departmental input is required.

Departmental Compensation and Staff Relations managers should direct any questions that they may have to their corporate Compensation officials who, if need be, can contact the Pay Administration Section.
