List of Changes to the Collective Agreement for the Financial Management (FI) Group - Information Notice

DATE: March 26, 2001

TO: Compensation Managers

SUBJECT: List of Changes to the Collective Agreement for the Financial Management (FI) Group

The Financial Management (FI) Group collective agreement was signed on March 2, 2001.

In accordance with Article 58.03, the provisions of the agreement are to be implemented within a period of 120 days from the date of signing (i.e., by June 30, 2001). Implementation of collective agreements includes the adjustment of salary-related benefits (e.g., overtime), the pay rate update and the issuance of any retroactive pay and/or lump sum payments. The 120-day implementation period is a statutory requirement that must be met.

The Collective Agreement Implementation Tracking System is available to assist departments in reporting the implementation status. The application requires departmental input on the 45th, the 60th, the 80th and the 110th day of the implementation period. Departments with FI pay accounts that have yet to do so should contact Denis Martel at 952-3217 or by e-mail at martel.denisgj@tbs-sct.gc.ca to obtain access codes and for any questions they may have on the application. The first reporting date for the FI Group is April 16, 2001.

The changes to the FI collective agreement of greater importance to pay administration are highlighted in the attached chart.

Departmental Compensation managers should direct any questions that they may have to their corporate Compensation officials who, if need be, can contact the Pay Administration Section.
