SUBJECT: One Additional Day of Vacation Leave With Pay
for Employees in the Education and Library Science Groups
The memorandum of settlement reached between Treasury Board and the Public
Service Alliance of Canada for the Education and Library Science Group (EB)
collective agreement, provides for the following:
Effective on the date of signing of the agreement (November 19, 2001), the
existing bank (vacation leave with pay) of each employee of the EB group will be
credited by one (1) extra day.
For a full-time or part-time employee, the extra day will be equal to seven
and one-half hours (7.5).
Eligibility Criteria
- Any employee, active or temporarily struck off strength, who occupied a
position in the LS, ED or EU groups on November 19, 2001.
- Any employee whose substantive position is in the LS, ED, or EU group on the
19th of November, 2001, and was acting in groups other than
those listed above.
- Any employee who on November 19, 2001, was acting in a position classified
in the LS, ED or EU group.
Departmental Compensation and Staff Relations managers should direct any
questions that they may have to their corporate Compensation officials who, if
need be, can contact the Pay Administration Section.
