working at making this site interesting and informative.
There are two main objectives in
having this Website. First, to provide useful information
on how the Senate works, what senators actually do, and how does
the Senate fit in our Parliamentary system. Secondly, this
site will help you find everything you ever wanted to know about
the Yukon.
Yukon is Canada's best kept
secret. It represents 483,450 square kilometers of some of
the most spectacular wilderness experienced anywhere in the
world. It is rich in natural resources and has 30, 000 of
the more dynamic individuals you will find anywhere. There
are 16 communities scattered throughout the Yukon and all but
Old Crow are linked by all weather roads. Whitehorse is
the capital and is only two hours drive from Skagway, Alaska
offering tide waters that open a wonderland of marine adventures
through the Southeast Alaska Inland Passage. From the
Tundra of the Beaufort Sea to the highest mountains in Canada;
From the ice fields of Kluane to the broad Yukon River Valley,
adventure and opportunity awaits the modern day explorer.
