The PMRA New Registration Activities Report is a
summary of registration decisions concerning new active ingredients,
their associated end-use products,
new uses for currently registered active ingredients and emergency
registrations made by the Pest Management Regulatory Agency
(PMRA) during the current fiscal year.
The report is new to the PMRA and meets the goals of a more
open and transparent pesticide regulatory system for all Canadians.
This report will be issued
on a quarterly basis through the PMRA website.
PMRA New Registration Activities is published in a table
format and summarizes each registration decision, including
the:
- pesticide product's name and registration number
under the Pest Control Products Act,
- registrant,
- pesticide type (i.e., insecticide, herbicide, etc.),
- specific site or host (where and on what the pesticide can be
used) to which the registration decision pertains,
- date on which the certificate of registration was issued.
The
tables contained in the report identify both major and
minor crop uses registered as well as emergency registrations
and the organization that applied for it. More information
on the individual products listed in the report
can be obtained from the product
label.![New Window](/web/20061027214333im_/http://www.pmra-arla.gc.ca/english/images2/newwindow.gif)
