The PMRAs human health risk assessments address the Canadian
population in general and subpopulations such as women of child-bearing
age, pregnant and nursing women, infants and children. Infants
and children have been a special consideration in our risk assessments
for many years.
In all cases where the use of a pesticide could result in exposure
of children, the PMRA considers the unique biological characteristics
and exposure patterns of children in its risk assessments.
