The North Saskatchewan Independent Living Centre (NSILC) is a consumer controlled, community based, cross disability agency that pomotes the inclusion and full participation of people with disabilities in the community.
Eligibility Criteria
The Urban Entrepreneurs with Disabilities Program is for entrepreneurs, living with a disability, who want to start up or expand a business.

Summary
The program was established with the following goals and objectives:
- to provide an accessible business service to enhance fundamental business skills through such methods as self-assessment, business plan development, counselling, mentoring, networking and providing basic tools to assist people with disabilities to access financing for their business;
- to provide supports to remove barriers to self-employment for people with disabilities;
- to offer access to the loan fund
- to provide links and referrals to other services at the Independent Living Centres and within the community
Business Counselling Service
- assists in determining individual personal readiness
- provides support and advice in developing business plans
- supports individuals in preparing applications to the Loan Fund
- provides follow-up and aftercare for active entrepreneurs
Disability Accommodation Service
- supports individuals in exploring and actively pursuing entrepreneurship
- provides disability supports and accommodation
- provides information and resources in alternate formats
- arranges for interpreters
- facilitates access to other services available from the Centres and other community service providers

Entrepreneurs with Disabilities Support Group (Saskatoon)
This group is open to people who have a disability, who are in business, or have a business idea. Interpreting for the hearing impaired is available if required. Guest speakers are brought in to talk about programs and services which have included disability insurance for people with disabilities, the business of Art, Financial Management and information on self-employment training. In addition, the individual entrepreneurs discuss issues that are of concern to them.
