The PMRA uses Adobe Acrobat ® PDF files for many of its
online documents. Whenever a file of this type is available for viewing, "pdf" will be
included at the end of the document name along with the file size in kilo bytes (Kb), and a symbol.
PDF files can be viewed with the Adobe Acrobat Reader "plug-in". You may download this "plug-in" for free from Adobe .
Accessibility Tools for Adobe PDF Documents
Adobe currently provides two solutions that help make information in Adobe PDF files accessible to the visually disabled. These solutions convert Adobe PDF files into a format that can be read by screen readers. Screen reader programs allow the visually disabled to interact with their computer by interpreting what is happening on the display and outputting that information to speech synthesis or refreshable Braille output devices.
