Your Gateway to Government Information for Business

About Us

The Canada-Nunavut Business Service Centre is your gateway to government information for business. The Canada-Nunavut Business Service Centre provides a wide range of information on government services, programs and regulations and are there to answer your questions about starting a new business or improving an existing one.

Our Goal
The goal of the Canada-Nunavut Business Service Centre is to provide business people with access to accurate, timely and relevant information and referrals. The Canada-Nunavut Business Service Centre reduces the complexity of dealing with various levels of government by serving as a central resource for Canadian business information. A Network of Cooperation
The Canada Business Service Centres initiative is a cooperative arrangement among 36 federal business departments, provincial, territorial governments and, in some cases, the private sector, associations, academic and research communities.

Currently, there are thirteen Canada Business Service Centres — one in every province, the Northwest Territories, the Yukon and Nunavut, Canada's newest territory. The Canada Business Service Centres also have a growing network of partners providing access to Canada Business Service Centre information in communities across Canada.

The participants and federal managing partners who are responsible for the development and management of the Canada Business Service Centres vary from province to province:

Western Economic Diversification manages the centres in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
Industry Canada manages the centres in Ontario, Nunavut, the Yukon and the Northwest Territories.
The Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions manages the centre in Quebec.
The Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency manages the centres in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland.

A National Secretariat, located in Ottawa, is responsible for supporting the Canada Business Service Centres and maintaining the technical network, information databases and products. It is also responsible for this Web site.

What We Do
Each Canada Business Service Centre offers a combination of products and services, tailored to meet the needs of its distinctive client base, to ensure clients get accurate and comprehensive business information. Preparing a business plan, finding new markets or getting ready to export? The resources in the centres are invaluable to good business planning.

Services are available by telephone, fax, mail, e-mail, on the Web, and in person.
