Business, government must team up to harness development potential of ICTs, ICC says
Hong Kong, 4 December 2006
In an address today to ITU Telecom World 2006, International Chamber of Commerce Secretary General Guy Sebban called for more public-private cooperation to spread access to the Internet and information and communications technologies (ICTs), two powerful drivers of development.

Paris, 4 December 2006   ICC is pleased to announce the publication of the 2007 Revision of Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits, UCP 600.

ICC elects new Vice-Chairman
New Delhi, 30 November 2006  The International Chamber of Commerce today elected Hong Kong businessman Victor Fung as its new Vice-Chairman. Mr Fung was voted in by the ICC World Council, which brought together more than 100 of its business members from some 44 countries for a meeting in India this week.

India’s Commerce Secretary optimistic on Doha trade talks
New Delhi, 30 November 2006  In an address to ICC’s World Council in New Delhi today, the Indian Commerce Secretary, Gopal K. Pillai, said he believed the Doha round of trade negotiations could be brought to a successful conclusion by March 2007 and that India would play a positive role in re-starting the talks.

ICC Chairman, Indian trade minister promote Doha round
New Delhi, 29 November 2006  ICC Chairman Marcus Wallenberg met with Indian Minister for Commerce and Industry Kamal Nath today in New Delhi to stress the importance of re-starting the Doha trade round which has been suspended since July and bringing the talks to a successful conclusion.

Kuala Lumpur wins bid to host World Chambers Congress
New Delhi, 29 November 2006  After several weeks of deliberation, the ICC World Chambers Federation Congress Selection Committee has announced that Kuala Lumpur will host the 6th World Chambers Congress in 2009.
