Step-by-Step Guide to Exporting (Team Canada Inc): The Step-by-Step Guide to Exporting is designed to give you an understanding of the realities of exporting and to provide you with solid, straightforward information on how to assess your export capabilities. It also steers you through the process of planning and executing your first exporting venture.

Exporting - A Step-by-Step Guide  (Canada Border Services Agency): This guide has been created to help small and medium-sized enterprises that export goods from Canada. It provides an overview of the exporting process and is intended to complement, not replace, existing regulations, acts, and references.

Exporting to Alaska: This document outlines the basic steps required to start exporting your products to Alaska, including key regulations, licenses and permits that you need to be aware of before you start exporting.

Export Diagnostic: A self-diagnostic information product helping potential exporters in identifying, in a systematic and objective way, internal organizational structure, and product strengths and weaknesses in terms of export potential.

ExportSource: This on-line service provides a one-stop shop for new and experienced exporters, with access to multiple sources of export-related information from over 800 government and private links.

ExportUSA: Consists of three programs to assist Canadian companies in developing their export skills. New Exporters to Border States Program (NEBS), Exporters to the United States program (EXTUS), and Reverse NEBS provide training sessions, participation at missions and practical orientation for Canadian companies wanting to export to the United States.

Market Research

International Market Research : The Centre produces a full range of sectoral market studies to help Canadian exporters identify foreign market opportunities, without doing expensive market research on their own.

Canadian Industry Statistics: Presents statistical analyses of manufacturing industry trends for establishments, employment, wages, production, costs, investment, international trade and industry performance in Canada from 1990 to 1999.

Trade Data Online: Trade Data Online is a product designed to facilitate access to Canadian and U.S. trade statistics by commodity.

Policy and Regulations

Tariffs and Market Access Information for Canadian Exporters: This service includes the provision of specific tariff rates and market access information, covering almost all Canadian exports, for various countries.

Export Permits: Under the Export and Import Permits Act , some goods, and some destinations of goods, require that an exporter first receive a Federal export permit from International Trade Canada (ITCan) before the goods are exported. This Act also brings into force provisions of various trade agreements and commitments that Canada has entered into with other countries.
