The Environmental Industries Branch provides assistance to Nova Scotia's environmental industries by coordinating the delivery of business assistance. The branch supports and promotes the innovative environmental industry sector in Nova Scotia by providing leadership in assisting the sector enter the global marketplace.
Eligibility Criteria
Environmental businesses seeking assistance/resources for entering the international marketplace or expanding into new markets are eligible. All investors and entrepreneurs interested in developing and locating their businesses in Nova Scotia, with a strong focus on environmental products and services are also eligible.
Summary
The Environmental Industries Branch works with industry, government, and academia to provide:
Trade Opportunities
- organization of export information sessions, trade missions, and trade shows
- export development leads
- advice, direction, and assistance in developing export opportunities
Business Advice
- facilitate partnering
- review of business plans
- assistance with regards to accessing funding sources
Information Resources
- assistance to technology entrepreneurs
- access to current market, regulatory, and innovative technology information
- confidential interviews to facilitate professional contact between investors and entrepreneurs
