The main purpose of the three studies in the Industry Canada research monograph, Economic Growth in Canada and the United States in the Information Age, is to compare and analyze the sources of economic growth in Canada and the United States over the past two decades, with a particular focus on the impact of information technology investment on economic growth. This represents a continuation of a research program initially reported in the Industry Canada research monograph, Industry-level Productivity and International Competitiveness between Canada and the United States, published in 2001.
