In recent years, the Canadian panel industry has experienced a higher growth rate than either the forestry sector as a whole, or the overall manufacturing sector. This Roadmap establishes the importance of innovation to the major sectors in the panel industry and identifies new and promising technologies along with suggestions on priorities for the future. The Roadmap is written for a broadly based audience from sector specialists and industry executives to researchers and equipment suppliers to government policy makers and educators. It is intended to assist organizations in their planning, in setting priorities and in crystallizing direction.
