The Aerospace and Defence Sector Branch of Industry Canada has undertaken a series of consultations to obtain a better understanding of the challenges facing small and medium Canadian aerospace supplier companies (SMEs). This report summarizes the major findings of the consultations for the suppliers and their customer companies and indicates the actions already taken and those planned to address the issues raised by industry. It is to form the basis for ongoing dialogue with SMEs with the objective of developing better strategies for targeting government support programs and services to SME firms.
