Ulnooweg is an Aboriginal Capital Corporation (ACC) which provides financial assistance in the form of loans to new and existing Status Indian businesses in Atlantic Canada.

Summary
Ulnooweg assists Native-owned commercial businesses in the following ways:
Lending Services:
- Business loans to individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
- Loans include bridge loans for government grants, working capital, capital acquisitions and youth loans.
Young Entrepreneurs:
Delivery of First Nation and Inuit Youth Program (Atlantic-wide) sponsored by INAC and two separate youth funds. As well, operating assistance is available for business plan development and/or after care from Aboriginal Business Canada. These loan programs are geared to young (35 and under) Status Indian entrepreneurs, living on/or off reserve.
Government Procurement (Aboriginal Set-Aside Program):
Ulnooweg is involved in accessing the O.B.S. (MERX) system (federal contracts) to identify contracts and contacting potential native businesses which would be capable in bidding/completing the contract. Under the Aboriginal Set-Aside Program, all federal government departments are encouraged to set aside approximately three to five percent of all federal contracts for competition by Aboriginal suppliers provided operational requirements are fully met.
