    An Act to amend the Hazardous Products Act (fire-safe cigarettes)

    Every one who commits the offence referred to above and thereby causes bodily harm to a person or the death of a person commits an offence and is liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding fourteen years or life, respectively.

    An Act to impose reporting requirements with respect to public pension plans and to amend certain Acts in consequence thereof

This Act requires periodic actuarial valuations of pension plans established under the Canadian Forces Superannuation Act, the Judges Act, the Members of Parliament Retiring Allowances Act, the Public Service Superannuation Act, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Superannuation Act and the Supplementary Retirement Benefits Act, at intervals and using standards required of private sector pension plans. This Act would also increase the frequency of actuarial valuations of pension plans established under the Canada Pension Plan and require cost estimates of benefits payable under the Old Age Security Act to be prepared with the same detail as estimates prepared under the Canada Pension Plan.
