The Revenue Division provides information to companies on all aspects of The Corporation Capital Tax Act and Regulations. The Revenue Division also issues tax interpretation bulletins. The province taxes all corporations operating in Saskatchewan with taxable paid-up capital in excess of ten million dollars.
An additional exemption of up to $5,000,000 is available for fiscal years beginning on or after January 1, 2002. This will be increased to $7,500,000 on January 1, 2004 and $10,000,000 on January 1, 2005. The amount of the exemption is based upon the proportion of total salaries and wages that are paid in Saskatchewan by a taxable corporation and its associated corporations. Paid-up capital generally includes retained earnings, capital stock and long term debt.
The following publication is available to all interested parties: the Information Bulletins and Tax Returns. Information Bulletins are available on the Saskatchewan Finance Web site at http://www.gov.sk.ca/finance/revenue/cct/cct.htm
