The Nova Scotia Business Registry (NSBR) provides businesses access to on-line registration for some government services from any computer with an Internet connection.

Eligibility Criteria

Potential and existing Nova Scotian businesses that wish to register their business, apply for or renew provincial permits and licenses, register with the Worker's Compensation Board and link to the Canada Revenue Agency.

Summary

The NSBR allows Nova Scotia businesses to complete on-line transactions with the Registry of Joint Stock Companies (see the document Registry of Joint Stock Companies ). Once a business is registered, the Business Number can be used to complete the following transactions at virtually any time from anywhere in the province:

  • Renew and pay for business registration
  • Apply, pay for and/or renew various provincial licenses and permits. See the document Nova Scotia Permits Directory
