Active Offer Tool

A new e-learning tool that aims at second language retention has been launched on Campusdirect.

C135E - Active Offer Tool. This tool, built in partnership with the Pacific Federal Council, aims to assist customer service personnel in responding to clients in their language of choice. The tool provides the participant with the ability to read, hear, and practice the 12 most common phrases used in French to address French speaking clients, as well as furthering their knowledge about the Official Languages Act and Active Offer by completing quiz questions and reading the FAQ.

It is recommended that you visit Campusdirect often so that you can use this and other new tools that have been added to the growing list of new products!

Working with the EMT

Campusdirect is pleased to announce the launch of Working with the EMT, an online course that serves as an introduction to the expense management component of the TAV services.

Travel modernization in the Government of Canada (GC) has been evolving for a number of years. On
April 1, 2004, the Government of Canada began to phase in integrated travel services to allow employees to research and book travel online, benefit from travel support anywhere/anytime, enjoy an enhanced government travel card and submit and approve travel request and expense claims electronically. These services allow departments and agencies to better manage travel and reduce travel and administrative costs.

The travel modernization project is called the Shared Travel Services Initiative (STSI), and is one of the first examples of shared services in the Government of Canada. The STSI group manages the implementation of Travel AcXess Voyage (TAV), a suite of services that includes a government travel card, full service Travel Call Centre and a portal hosting an On-Line Booking Tool (OBT) and the Expense Management Tool (EMT). The web-based EMT allows travellers to create and submit expense reports, view the current status of submitted reports, and obtain online approvals for travel claims.

The Core Library is FREE!

As of April 1, 2006, the Campusdirect Core Library is free to all federal public service employees.
