Service Canada - Prince Edward Island Region

Regional Overview

The Service Canada network in Prince Edward Island comprises six main Service Canada Centres. These offices are located in Charlottetown, Montague, O'Leary, Souris, Summerside, and Wellington. Service Canada staff in the region number more than 200, with 30 of these providing front-line service to Island residents.

In addition, Service Canada operates an Employment Insurance processing centre in Montague and an Old Age Security/Canada Pension Plan processing centre in Charlottetown. The Service Canada regional office is also located in Charlottetown.

Service Canada is exploring opportunities for outreach to Acadian and Francophone regions of the province. PEI Region will also be consulting with the Aboriginal community on how best to provide Service Canada outreach services across the Island.

Charlottetown Service Canada Centre

The Charlottetown Service Canada Centre is located in the Sherwood Shopping Centre at 161 St. Peters Road. The office serves the central portion of the province, representing about 28 per cent of the province's total land mass and one-half of its population.
