Living Leadership - The Executive Excellence Program

Benefits

Living Leadership: real world, real benefits

Excellent Value  — With the estimated average cost of executive education in Canada ranging from $1500 to $1600 per day, Living Leadership provides excellent value by delivering a first rate program at less than half the cost.

The right fit — Created expressly for Public Service executives, the program leverages expertise from a diversity of learning resources in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors to provide a comprehensive and contextually relevant program.

Real world, real issues, real results — Living Leadership’s cutting-edge Action Learning approach focusses on real-life scenarios. The Deputy Minister community assigns the Live Case project, which requires participants to apply newly developed leadership skills to a real-life issue. Participants also identify a Personal Stretch Project, related to their workplace, that provides the context for learning bychallenging participants to takethe classroom into the workplace, and in turn bring the workplace back into the classroom.

One of a kind — Living Leadership’s innovative approach, diversity of contributors and Public Service context combine to offer a truly outstanding leadership learning experience.

Giving back — Participants give back to the Public Service – and their own organizations through the development of Live Case recommendations. On a broader level, they give back by becoming better leaders, by developing a better understanding of how they can contribute, and by making a commitment to continuous learning.

Exceptional access — Participants have frequent opportunities to engage leaders in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. Direct access through classroom and site-visit discussions gives participants new perspectives on the opportunities and challenges facing today’s leaders.

Networking — Living Leadership’s cohort environment fosters the development of a community of practice for participants to draw upon throughout their careers.

A new mind-set — Living Leadership strives to instill the concept that leadership is more than a collection of skills and competencies – it is a state of being that permeates all aspects of life.
